Creation Process - Christ 00

This image shows alginate being used to cast the model's face. The back of the model's head has been layered with plaster modroc. The model is breathing through plastic straws.

Plaster is layered on top of the alginate to hold its shape as the alginate is very flexible. The 2-piece mold is now complete and is carefully separated from the model. Once removed the 2 pieces are put together and bound. Then plaster is poured into the cavity and allowed to set.
